This is a one-year program that aims to transform already competent physicians into highly specialized experts capable of delivering advanced patient care, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the growth and innovation in this cutting-edge field of medicine. This year provides fellows with comprehensive clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They'll gain exposure to a wide array of stem cell transplant, cell and gene therapy in hematologic malignancy cases (including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemias, amyloidosis, and myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative disorders), as well as non-malignant conditions like hemoglobinopathies. In addition, it will provide exposure to variety of diverse patients and pathologies, clinical trials (including Blood & Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN), cell therapy and Gene therapy trials), research opportunities (including The Center for International Blood & Marrow Transplant Research CIBMTR proposals), laboratory experience in histocompatibility testing, and rotation in transplant infectious disease.
