City of Hope performs the highest number of allogeneic HCT in the U.S. and is also one of the highest volume IEC centers. This fellowship provides extensive clinical training in all aspects of HCT including patient selection, HLA typing, assessment and management of toxicities, donor and graft selection. Furthermore, fellows will also be trained in IEC therapy which includes but is not limited to CAR-T therapy and fellows will gain competency in patient assessment, product selection, and management of complications associated with various IEC products across a variety of indications including experimental products in both hematologic and solid malignancies. , , In addition to an in-depth clinical experience at a high-volume center, fellows will also be provided protected time to perform clinical and translational research. These efforts are led by world-renowned clinical, translational, and basic science faculty. Furthermore, ample opportunity exists for multidisciplinary research with faculty in diverse areas such as immuno-oncology, stem cell biology, gene therapy, aging, precision medicine, and infectious diseases.
